Biography

Robert “Bob” Paul Moosdorf, 71, of Loveland, lost his battle with cancer on July 19, 2011. Bob was born on May 17, 1940 in New Haven, CT to Paul and Mildred Moosdorf. In 1958, at the age of 18, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was able to travel the world during his tours of duty. Upon retiring from the military in 1980 he relocated his family to Loveland, Colorado. Bob was an active member of the Loveland Elks Club and is a lifetime member of the VFW.

Family

Bob is survived by his sister, Marilyn McDevitt; brother Rick Moosdorf; four daughters and their spouses Renee Moosdorf, Katrina (Todd) Trobee, Laura (Greg) Gentilucci, and Christina (Harrell) Cross; five grandchildren Tyler, Nate and Natalie Trobee, Alex Gentilucci and Karissa Nelson; former wife Julie Schmidt; beloved dog, Bruiser; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Service Information

A public memorial service will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. A private burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. 

Memorial Contributions

Memorials can be made to the Humane Society of Larimer County or the American Cancer Society in care of Viegut Funeral Home.

Dad, I miss you so much every day and I think of you constantly. You are the most generous best father we could ever have. All of us girls are heartbroken that we can never touch you or kiss you again. We know you needed to leave because you were in so much pain, but if we could have taken your place just to keep you here we would. I love you more than anything and wish I could have more time to prove it to you.
